Project 52: Week 32

We got the opportunity to make cakes again this weekend. We've made both the bride's and the groom's cake before, but not together. Everything seemed to go well. We even forgot some of the strawberries and a kind friend brought them over to us.

Saw this in the middle of busy Dallas, which was then trying to break a 31 year old record for days with triple degree temps. It didn't break it - just two days short.

Getting to see old friends is always a blessing!

This bunch of yarn is my ongoing project that I'm trying to get finished this week. It's been too long.

 More lens flipping. ♥

Our creek is the lowest it's been since we got our property thirteen years ago. That's to be expected (with the heat and all), but we decided to go down to see it and take some pictures for Mom to see. The next few pictures are of the creek, which is totally dried up in places and is so low in others that it looks swampy.

Just a trickle in this area.

Completely dried up in this.

And then we got rain. About 10 minutes of it. It was just enough to lift our spirits and make the weather cool down.

Sneak peak of a random shoot I did with Audrey because she's growing up so fast.
