Our big project (our living room/study addition) is supposed to be completed by May, including carpet and stairs! My mom's sister and her family is coming down from West Virginia for the first time in 12 years so we want everything to look really nice!

Cold Snap

I was getting a little worried about 2010. It started out unseasonably cold. Usually in Texas, it's only cold for a day or two and then it's to the January average in the 50's. But it just stayed cold... so cold that ice was beginning to form on the ponds. (That just doesn't happen in Texas, btw. We ice skate indoors, all the time) But... today it got up to 56°! I was beginning to think I'd had moved up North! Texas, I'm glad you're back to normal! I was even a little glad to see the burnt grass on the way into town today... even though it was cold, it has been pretty dry.

We continued roofing, although it was cold. The roof is now completely shingled on our addition!
