Autumn

Every fall, even though I don't live up north where the colors are spectacular, I am amazed by the beauty that can come from something that's dying. As long as the leaf holds on to the dull green of late summer, the true beauty within can never be revealed. But in the process of dying comes something spectacular and breath-taking and beautiful.

May my life be beautiful to those around because I'm dying to me - my plans, dreams and goals.

May my Father's beauty shine through.

Turk's Cap

Sometimes it's fun to look through old (ish) pictures and find ones that I never did anything with.

It's kinda like going on a treasure hunt while still seated at your computer.

I like this flower a lot. Even though it is red. It's just so unique.

Hidden

[Even when you can't see Him, Jesus is there.]

Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Read the Bible, whether you understand it or not, and the Holy Spirit will bring back some word of Jesus to you in a particular set of circumstances and make it living.

No mistakes

[though sometimes it seems my heart would break, there's a purpose in every change He makes;

that others would see my life and know that God makes no mistakes]

"But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me,
I shall come forth as gold."
Job 23:10

Dallas Sunsets

In case you wanted to know, all these were shot from my window at the Dallas Ministry Center and none of them are edited.

Sunsets amaze me. Every time. My God is amazing.

Peach Pie

Rachel and Brenda made pies out of the peaches our neighbors gave us. They were really good peach pies... good enough that we didn't even have to have ice cream!

Today...

One of our neighbors had a really good year of peaches and decided to share some with us. We didn't mind at all. :) One of the perks of country livin'
Yesterday we tried to blow bubbles and they just sank. It was the weirdest thing! We just had to guess that it was because of the intense heat!

The day before yesterday there was a meteor shower and we got to stay up late and watch it. It was awesome! I have no photographic proof though... it was hard enough just looking at the right part of the sky at the right time. But on a scale of awesomeness, meteor showers are right up there with rainbows, thunderstorms, ice skating and laser tag.
