Project 52: Week 23

We set up our pool not too long ago, and already it has gotten a lot of use. The kids love it.

The sky was so beautiful the other day, I couldn't not take a few pictures of it!

Project 52: Week 22

My littlest sister drew my name last Christmas and gave me this candle-holder that catches light beautifully and scatters it throughout the room.

Table decorations for my grandmother's birthday celebration. Yes, my bird's eye view photography needs a little work!

These last three were taken on Memorial Day. We had an enjoyable day - my uncle came over, we grilled out, set up the pool, and the boys cut down more trees!

Project 52: Week 21

Yes! We have gotten some rain. The burn ban is close to being lifted now!

Lillian really loves to color.

One of my sisters had a birthday this week.

The rest of these are just some wildflowers growing alongside the road.

Project 52: Week 20

Last weekend we took a camping trip to our favorite spot - Lake Ray Roberts. We had a great time, as it only sprinkled a little the first day we were there and we saw a rainbow and the weather was just really pleasant that weekend.

I surprised myself by getting up early enough one morning to see the sun rise.

Then we went fishing while the sun set. Dad caught a carp, but it broke the line before he got it in.

Project 52: Week 19

Since last Sunday was Mother's Day, all of my pictures this time are from that weekend.

Mom and all her girls at a Mother-Daughter brunch at church.

Mom and all her children at Cracker Barrel on Mother's Day

Cracker Barrel has the greatest light on their porches. :)

Project 52: Week 18

I participated in another challenge for the LDPS. This time the theme was "yellow". I took this first picture with the morning sun coming through the dining room window.

Then I decided there was a lot more yellow in our house, so I went on a "yellow hunt".

We've been looking for a new car ever since Dad's faithful ISUZU pickup finally conked out, and we found this Cadillac DeVille just today. It's a really good color for a car. Dirt shouldn't show up that much. Since we live in the country, cars do get dirty! It's an older model, but Mom loves the way it drives. I have yet to drive it, but I rode in it when she test drove it and was impressed with the a/c vents in the back seat. Anyway, we hope it will be a faithful car for a while!

Lillian at Big Sandy last week. I love how pretty it is there.

Project 52: Week 17

I'm a little late posting this week's pictures, but hey, better late than never, right? I was at a home school conference last Friday, so was unable to post these then.

Our family has a tradition of dyeing eggs before Easter. We've done them so much that it's practically an art form now, and several people have eggs that they do every year. Everyone has fun, unless an egg inadvertently gets broken.

Cherise at a camp that CROWN college recently acquired and that we went and helped repair over Easter weekend. I loved their tire swing!
